Toyota has designed the 4Runners to meet all the expectations of users regarding off-road driving. The 4Runner is a popular mid-sized SUV that has maintained its exceptional off-road capability, since the time it was launched for the first time as a 1985 model. This traditional sport utility is built on a rugged ladder frame with a solid rear axle. This fourth-generation 4Runner not only has a high-level of off-road capability, but also includes room, power, and luxury. For 2008, the 4Runner continues without any significant changes but the first and the second row side-curtain airbags are made standard along with active front headrest and Vehicle Stability Control cut-off switch. The 4Runner comes in three interesting trim levels: SR5, Sport Edition, and Limited. Each trim comes with the 236 hp 4.0-liter V6 or 260 hp 4.7-liter V8, with two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. All together, there are some twelve models to choose from. All the models come with many standard and optional packages to make the present line-up more sturdy and sophisticated in nature. For its class, the 4Runner truly takes the driving experience to a new height.
